A visitor centre where Roman heritage comes alive through touch, play, 3D and sound.
Explora Vižula! is a visitor centre in Medulin dedicated to the Roman heritage of the Vižula peninsula and Medulin Bay. We designed and built its complete digital layer – from touchscreen applications and educational games to a virtual jewellery mirror, an animated projection book, immersive 3D exploration and multilingual audio guides.

Turning ruins into a story visitors can step into
The Vižula peninsula and Medulin Bay are rich in Roman heritage – but much of that history is invisible to the eye. Our task was to make it understandable, personal and fun for every visitor, whether they come for an hour or a whole afternoon.
We connected the physical exhibition with digital experiences, so every installation tells part of the same story – and visitors leave with something to take home.

A touchscreen map of 17 archaeological sites with a rich multimedia gallery.
Virtual jewellery mirror
Visitors try on Roman jewellery virtually and take home a branded photo souvenir.
Roman food & cooking games
Playful drag-and-drop applications about what Romans ate and how they cooked.
Interactive projection book
A physical book with projected animations that react to every page turn.
3D scanning & shared exploration
A multiplayer virtual experience of the site, built with Gaussian splatting.
